Twin Fury
Kale watched as his brother paced back and forth in his room. Since Trever's roommate had vanished the two of them had taken to hanging out in there instead of Kale's room. (They'd also started making the still in there as well and Kale had been working on it when Trever showed up in a fury.) He'd not seen his brother so blistering angry in a long time.
It wasn't the good anger either. It was an unfocused rage that was looking for someone to hit, someone to punch in the face, someone to rip their heads off.
But, ever since he'd come back from that conversation with Prim - who Kale had yet to meet. He was only vaguely curious to meet the girl. Kale would be the first person to admit that sometimes he'd rather deal with his machines than people, and a traumatized girl, especially one that got Trever's blood so boiled wasn't something wanted to look for.
While he doubted he'd have quite the same intense response, Trever tended to get angrier easier, berserker blood in him, their mum said, he still would get upset.
"So, are you done yet?" he finally asked after watching Trever punch the wall with a hard thump.

He didn't need to look under the bed to see that Veena would hiding under there.

However, he also knew Kale and figured that Kale had something up...

Really, there was no other answer available.

Kale beckoned to his brother to follow him as he headed towards his room.

And, of course, you needed dye of some sort to make sure the loser looked ridiculous. And looked ridiculous for several days.
Everyone had to know their shame.

The tanks were empty, which made sense since they were hanging out in Kale's closet. "You've got holsters, right?"

He put his own rifle down and rummaged around for a moment more before tossing over a bandoleer with holders for refill for the pistols and two holsters for the pistols themselves.

There always had to be rules. It was never "no rules". At least not at the beginning. Eventually it broke out into a free for all, but for starters...

"How about we leave from here, go twenty minutes and then start the hunt."
Kind of like hide and go seek.

It moved forward, hovering in the air and Kale let out a soft breath of air. It was flying... for now. He had some crawling ones around, but he wanted to put those in the Jefferies Tubes and if he had them out flying during their little game then people would know about them - or at least connect him to them.
Best to wait for that later.
"Sounds good, and I think I'm good to go. Watch check?" Looking at his watch he said, "It's 15:47, so lets' round that up to 15:50 and start chasing at 16:10?"

Before squirting Kale in the face with a pistol and running out the door laughing manically.

Trever had long gone, darting down a hallway. The twenty minutes had begun
He wiped off some of the green dye on his face as he entered the hallway and start off looking to get away from Trever before really starting the game.
