Oddly, they're not mixed. They're two people. The Morrigan is acknowledged as the 'Mother' of the McCallum family and is referred to as such. The birds and bloodshed exist on the edges of his mind as something waiting to be unleashed. There are also other faint echoes of people in there.

That brings up a picture of drowning in a flood of personalities so ancient that they made Apocalypse look young, ancient, magic incarnate before humans even touched Eire. (Eire, not Ireland) just raw and uncontrolled, completely alien to how humans think.
Which all got dumped into an eight year old boy's mind.
